congratulations! It was really nice to see you and nyein nyein and your new baby boy! super cuteness my friends. and if you don't believe me, here are the mugshots to prove it. I got to hold the warm bundle of joy. :) *thrilled*
We ran into a friend on the way to see the baby whose grandma just had a heart attack earlier and was in cardiac ICU. It's strange and surreal to think that in the span of time that a child took his first breath, some other person somewhere in this wide wide world would be breathing his last. Such different things to be happening around the same time and in the same hospital. It's a startling juxtaposition. This is the hospital - life and death, celebration and sadness, riot of emotion, tears of joy, relief, sadness, despair. This is the hospital.
The past few days have been tough, a lot weighing down on everyone. Let's not forget the important thing, we're all on the same side.
God, give peace to all who need it. Keep us all safe.
