dancing..
just received this video which is for a lack of words, awe inspiring. the song is beautiful, the idea is beautiful and i'm just completely amazed at how amazing it is.
makes you laugh and cry and feel all other kinds of strange emotions that only a really bad dancer bringing the world together with music and dance can do. i think it's just wonderful. i particularly like the tribespeople dancing with him. hehe. and i love that he put the clip of him in tel aviv right before him in east jerusalem, in the west bank.
you have to watch this in high quality, there's a link near where the number of views are. and if you watch closely, there's a snippet of singapore! exciting :)
one crazy guy who i think knows only one kind of dance and how he can bring the world together (whether they know it or not) in crazy, unadulterated, uncensored, unbridled fun :)

interesting day today!
i thought today was going to be a massively insane day but a lot of things ended up being cancelled. clinics in the morning was thwarted by emergency op! then dragged on to a lunchless tutorial. ENT is actually quite interesting. if anything, the people are really nice :)
i dunno what in the world CTS is but it got cancelled so i'm happy. haha. read up a bit about western europe :) it's really so awesome. i cannot wait and the whole planning process is just driving me bananas - in the best way possible. lake district! woo! :) gotta read a bit about france soon.
amanda asked me to sing for some alumni dinner.. haha. i have no idea why but it's quite a lot of fun! finally after quite some time i get to sing in harmony with people :) it's really quite a nice feeling. :) and the songs are really fun. annnnddd the best part is! i get paid! woo! haha... and i get free food! woo! hehe.
also gotta rehearse with sam for this sunday's gig. sam sam sam! i hope we do well :)

of sunsets.. and sunsets.
had another wonderful photog time with the boys (zhihan, jo, liwei and ronnie) when zh organised a little trip down to keppel-ish to shoot sunsets. beautiful! it was actually private property apparently. but the security guards were really sweet and let us stay till nightfall.
i'll let the pictures speak for themselves. :) decided to take my little fuji for a spin.
just a pretty weed. we used to pick this all the time from our garden for my mom.
i love the skies in most of the photos... really beautiful, like a painting.
i dunno why i took this picture haha.but i like it a lot. bright green juxtaposed on dull greys, blacks and dirty whites somehow makes me smile.
just like a painting. gotta love that sky. same position different editing. love the pink hues in this one! <3 haha perspective. the funniest cutest man ever! haha.. i was lying down on the path, cause i'm anal about my photos like that. and he was jogging and gave this extremely *gasp!* look of feigned shock. haha.. i got him to pose again and took a picture. what an excellent sport :) i love the clouds in the background, they way they swirl downwards and upwards and everywhere, like daubs and smears of paint from a brush. :)
i read snippets of khalil gibran's the prophet while i was in borders. i am in love! i need a copy of that magic. but the only one i found there was a heavily decorated purple cloth covered gratuitously illustrated version. i hope i'll lay my hands on a nice simple copy soon :)

of doodles and wii :)
more little doodlings.. no bird this time! i wanted the little cat to be turning away from sight cause he saw a butterfly! (actually cause i can't draw cat faces for rubbish but i decided a distracted cat is better than an ugly faced one. haha.) made quite a few mistakes with this one..(really obvious, with the liquid paper and all!) i really should have traced it out with pencil first. well, all the shading is done with some pencil that was lying around. but i like it. it's quite cute i think.
[edit: after seeing this on my blog, i'm semi contemplating hanging up my pen and pencil! the poor cat looks really quite emaciated. :S slightly disproportionate too. goodness. poor thing. it looks a lot better in person.]
played wii today! it's enormous fun and i'm deeply contemplating getting one for myself. it's really quite a good upper body work out. and apparently, there's a wii fit so here comes the lower body bit too. wooh! :)

tuition just started with becky and i really like her a lot! she's awesomely nice to teach and she's funny and pretty and yes i do declare i love her.......... cat.
amber is a darling, she's so sweet tempered and friendly and attention seeking, goodness! she licks a lot too :) which i like. it's nice to be licked by a cat, very warm and dry and you see flashes of her tiny pink tongue. and i'm so happy to find a wonderful tutee who cares about cleanliness and cats put together about as much as i do!
bored in the morning so it's another bird! on paper this time. using my new brown pen (which you can't see here.)
went for a jog and decided to take one picture. tiny white flower :) so delicate. i like.
decided that the bird needed more colour. haha.. took a red pen and voila. end product.

SLR madness.
had a beautiful day today wandering (and sweating) around the gardens and the canopies at the hortpark/canopy walk! unfortunately, the slr-less (and for today camera-less cause i forgot to bring my camera.. sorry poor camera :S) me had to run around disturbing the pro people to take shots myself. (so so sorry!) decided to put my shots up here :) i only took a few, most of the day was spent watching people get jiggy with their cameras and just enjoying the beautiful scenery amidst the baking hot sun.
thanks to mok, zhihan, hazel and jo for letting me tag along! :) hope you guys had as great a day as i did. wonderful photography occured today! :)

new sneakers! immensely happy with the comfortable-ness although i have a tiny fear i might have bought a size too small and am now looking for thinner socks.
i love this picture so much it drives me completely banana sandwich! the flower was just begging to be taken. completely love the hues and the rosyness of the baby carnations.
it took me a while to get this shot cause it was pretty close and only mok's pro macro lens would do the trick!
loved the pink amidst the whites but i wish i had angled the camera a little better to peek into the flower. almost nice. but i love the super thin petals, beautiful!
