Lindy Day.
It was a really nice day! Started out a bit shaky, after realising that all the tickets were madly out of stock. PLUS! there is no POSB/DBS atm in singapore flyer my friends. make sure you have monies when you go.
Quiet slow walk back to esplanade to withdraw monies, managed to take a few shots of the flyer and spied a few unsuspecting people to capture.
By the time we got back, it was pretty late at night and we decided to eat at popeyes! very yummy salty scones with sweet jam. very nice... and ate outside instead of inside the outlet. We were really wonderfully surprised by some free-spirited dancing people and a big band playing sinatra-era songs. Couples took to the dance floor, song after song, laughing, dancing their lindy and trying not to step on the little kiddies running around following the lights. haha i felt like i was in a movie :)
played some bowling after that (i super sux at bowling.) and some arcade game where compatibility = 81%!
I had a really good day that day. :)

For 3 days, this is what I'll be waking up to! :) I'm really deeply looking forward to the sweet sweet escape to the UK. I've always wanted to wake up to a beautiful view. I think when I grow up next time, my bed will face a massive set of windows that will open up to the beach. (ok i was just thinking about it and realised it would be quite scary at night.) but imagine waking up to crashing waves and seagulls flying overhead. So inspiring!
yes, i would like to be inspired every single day.
in other news, RACHAEL YAMAGATA SAID MY NAME. i know this was a couple of days ago. but i can't get over it! I have her entire album on my iTunes and she's like celebrity. For everyone who does not know who Rachael Yamagata is, shame on you. Go listen to Worn Me Down.

Managed to get "free" tickets with PAssioncard. :) following are just a few pictures from the festival and from the river hongbao.
Started school/work/madness today again. It's nice that I'm part of a pioneer batch of O&G SIP students. A bit stressful that they're watching us from now. But I wanna do my best. Life's not easy, and I am determined to make my own path. Some people are born with an easy life, with a silver spoon in their mouths. Others make their own fortune, fight hard for what they want and keep striving. Some people are born to just keep trying. So keep trying I shall.
